Kelley Blue Book’s annual Best Buy Awards are out. To mark the occasion, KBB.com has commissioned a one-of-a-kind piece of art from Atlanta-based digital artist Bloo Woods. It describes the evolution of the automobile since the debut of Kelley Blue Book in 1926. It ends with this year’s best new winning model, the Ford Maverick 2022.
“Model NFT by KBB.com” is a non-fungible animated token (NFT) that brings Kelley Blue Book 95 to life years of reliable automotive knowledge and presents the evolution of cars. It will be auctioned on the NFT OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT marketplace from December 16 to 23, 2021.
Funds from the sale will go to American Rivers, a Washington, DC-based organization that protects clean waters and rivers across the country.
KBB.com’s NFT model sets in motion the evolution of transport over nearly a century. In addition to showing the evolution of vehicles, it also follows the evolution of Kelley Blue Book from its debut as the first printed book of car values in 1926.
